Introduction:
Due to our continued expansion in our major customers MRO operation, we are currently looking for a Production Planning Engineer to join the team at Gatwick.
The Production Planning Engineer will play a key part in the day-to-day running of the LGW 145 Production planning department. In doing so, they will be the point of contact for any Production Planning issues during execution and preparation for customer maintenance inputs.
The Production Planning Engineer will represent our Gatwick team at all required customer meetings, as well as working closely with our Technical Engineers to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
The Production Planning Engineer will form a key point of contact for customer technical representatives ensuring customer requirements are satisfied.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Be the on-shift escalation point for any Production Planning queries.
2. Represent the Production Planning department at internal and external meetings.
3. Work closely with the companies Part 145 Technical Services Team to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
4. Play a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures and project work in support of our continued improvement.
5. Carry out day-to-day Production Planning duties, including building robust production plans for maintenance inputs and work packages in AMOS.
6. Perform reviews of work packages to ensure all consumables, expendables, and tooling are identified and available for planned maintenance inputs.
7. Ensure regulatory requirements for Production Planning are adhered to at all times.
8. Build accurate Man Hour and Hangar Bay plans for review by Management and/or QA.
9. Represent Production Planning during internal and external audits.
10. Work closely with the Lead Production Planning Engineer in creating cross-team dynamics and ensuring all processes and procedures are monitored and updated.
11. Monitor compliance through sampling.
12. Participate or host required pre-input meetings.
13. Continuously monitor processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
14. Ensure no revision changes to the approved data prior to the start of input.
Work Authorisation:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Qualifications:
1. Ability to work unsupervised and be a team player who exceeds expectations of internal and external customers.
2. Previous experience of using the AMOS system.
3. Experience accessing online Boeing documents.
4. Experience with widebody and/or ETOPS aircraft is an advantage.
5. Aerospace Engineering Degree preferable.
6. Experience working in a maintenance planning environment.
7. Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
8. Right to live and work in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
