More detail about the role This position is tailor-made for a proactive technician with management experience, who can demonstrate initiative and a passion for continuous improvement someone who is always seeking innovative ways to enhance our processes and outcomes. Based within our pharmacy, you will: Be responsible for ensuring delivery of a high quality, safe and efficient purchasing and distribution service from the pharmacy department. Provide professional leadership and support for all aspects of the pharmacy procurement and distribution services to ensure provision of a safe and high-quality service which meets legislative, national and local guidelines. Line manage and support the lead/senior pharmacy technicians for distribution and procurement. Participate in the wider pharmacy service and its development in response to patient care needs, driving continuous quality improvement, focusing on excellence in our services. Ensure that the outsourced outpatient pharmacy services are delivered and monitored against key performance indicators. Who you'll work with: In this role, you'll collaborate with a supportive team of pharmacy professionals, including the medication safety officer and deputy chief pharmacist, our distribution and procurement lead technicians, section heads in pharmacy, the wider pharmacy team. You will also liaise with wider Trust colleagues including clinical staff and managers. Who we're looking for: We're seeking an experienced GPhC-registered technician who is ready for a more senior post and who has a track record of delivering within the pharmacy department. Working pattern: This a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) and with a requirement to participate in 7-day working to include late duties, bank holidays and weekend working.
