The Role: To assist in the delivery of gymnastics to pupils of all ages in any of the centre’s scheduled classes. This will range from pre-school classes to advanced classes. What does the role involve? A hands-on role that requires you to: Plan and assist with the class set up, ensuring the equipment is safe to use. Carry out warm-ups and encourage pupils to use the correct technique. Support pupils through progressions where necessary. Help promote an environment that is conducive to learning. Responsible for an individual group of gymnasts’ safety, development, enjoyment and assessment. Assess pupils on the BG Proficiency Scheme using a variety of recording methods Promote the centre classes and forthcoming events. Help and assist pupils and parents with questions and queries. Promote class retention. Step up to coordinate the class if the circumstances require it. Provide high quality, varied and customer focussed gymnastics coaching for Horizon Leisure Centres. Reduce barriers to participation for children with disabilities and/or special needs and enable their participation where possible. Help new children and their parents/guardians/carers to become familiar with the setting and go through any questions they may have. Your Experience Experience in delivering high levels of customer satisfaction. Experience working with children would be an advantage. Your Qualifications British Gymnastics Coaching Qualification or equivalent is desirable, but gymnastics experience with a view to gaining a qualification will be considered.
