Join Global ROV specialists, who are currently recruiting for a Senior HSEQ Advisor to join their team based in Westhill, Aberdeen. This role reports directly to the HSEQ Director and will deputise for them in their absence. Overseas travel to the USA and UAE will be required from time to time. The Senior HSEQ Advisor will provide support and assistance to the HSEQ Team and business ensuring that the company achieves operational excellence throughout all aspects of the business by conducting its operational activities safely, reliably, and efficiently with minimal impact on the environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supporting HSEQ Director in the Strategic HSEQ planning of the company.
* Supporting the HSEQ Director in the mentoring and training of HSEQ personnel.
* Managing the continual improvement of an effective Integrated Management System complying with the requirements of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 and additional client specifications.
* Designing and implementing comprehensive health and safety programs including training, policies, and procedures.
* Ensuring all activities comply with local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations and standards.
* Investigating accidents and incidents to determine causes and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
* Working closely with Project Managers, personnel, and external health and safety bodies to maintain a safe working environment.
* Supporting and educating a proactive HSEQ Culture within the business which includes providing HSEQ guidance, support, and training to all personnel ensuring all are aware of safety practices and procedures.
* Assisting in the development of project specific documentation (e.g., procedures, plans, and work instructions) including a review to ensure implementation of HSEQ requirements.
* Preparing data/trends and other HSEQ statistical records/reports as required.
* Providing cover for HSEQ Director.
* Potential for travel offshore and overseas work sites as required.
* Carrying out any other ad-hoc HSEQ or office related tasks when requested.
Essential Qualifications:
* Previous experience in an HSEQ Advisor role.
* A relevant HSEQ qualification or working towards (Associate or Certified).
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of ROV systems.
* Previous exposure in a 'service company'.
* Good understanding of UK legislation.
* NEBOSH General Certificate or H&S SVQ Level III.
* Accident/Incident Investigation training.
* COSHH Assessor/Awareness.
* Risk Assessment training.
* Internal/Lead Auditor training.
