Role: SEN Teacher

Contract: Full time, permanent
Working Hours: 08:45 - 16:45, Monday to Friday, Term-Time Only
Salary: £24,000 - £40,000 per annum

Do you have the dedication to support students with special educational needs (SEN) in a nurturing and structured learning environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a highly regarded independent school in Totnes, helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop confidence in their education.
The Role:
As a SEN Teacher, you will deliver tailored lessons that engage and inspire students with complex learning needs, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties, and challenging behaviour. You will work closely with school leaders, SENCOs, and specialist support staff to create an inclusive and structured learning environment. Your expertise in English or Science will help students develop key skills, ensuring they can access the curriculum in a way that suits their individual learning styles.
This role requires excellent behaviour management, patience, and resilience to support students effectively.

About you:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Evidence of successful and recent teaching responsibility of English
* Previous experience working with SEN is advantageous
* You will be expected to work on outreach and at other school sites
* Must be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle
* A team player, who is able to establish rapport with students, staff and parents and carers
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
