Why this role matters
In this role you will provide financial support and direction to the Network Services operational team, influencing the transformation journey whilst ensuring delivery of demanding financial performance.
Specifically, you will partner the Network Services team and own the tracking and reporting of the cost transformation, in particular, the cost savings programme of work (in partnership with the Transformation team) which is pivotal to the financial performance of the unit over the MTP period.
What you'll be doing
* Provide financial business partnering to support the cost transformation of Network Services.
* Challenge the business to drive sustainable value proactively through informed and insightful decision making.
* Work with the Finance Business Partners to set the forecast and budget for the Network Services cost transformation.
* Manage and drive the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for the Network Services cost transformation and other KPIs for the unit
* Ensure reporting information is provided in a timely and accurate manner to inform strategic decision making within the unit
* Drive a data-led and insight orientated culture, ensuring high quality data sets for decision making are available for the operational and other teams
* Work collaboratively with the Network Services units to underpin and deliver efficiencies and cost transformation initiatives
The skills you'll need
* Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
* Proven ability to influence and build key relationships with appropriate business partners
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial outcomes to various stakeholders
* Experience of financial management and delivery of improved financial performance.
* Strategic capability and commercial awareness.
* Experience across a wide range of finance disciplines.
