Salary Range: Bristol Grade 4, N2-N3 £1,230 - £1,249 (FTE: £23,656 - £24,027).
Bridge Learning Campus is looking for Breakfast Club Assistants to join their team. They are looking to fill x2 positions due to the increased interest in the number of parents wanting their children to attend Breakfast club.
As a Breakfast Club Assistant, you will help to provide a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children attending the school's Breakfast Club. The Breakfast Club Assistant will ensure pupils start their day positively by supervising activities, promoting healthy eating, and fostering a friendly, inclusive atmosphere. This role involves overseeing children's well-being, encouraging positive social interactions, and maintaining a structured yet enjoyable start to the school day.
Duties:
* Supervise and engage children in fun, structured activities before school.
* Prepare and serve a healthy breakfast, promoting good eating habits.
* Ensure a safe, welcoming environment where children feel happy and included.
* Encourage positive behaviour and social interactions.
* Maintain a clean and organised space, following school policies and safeguarding guidelines.
Generic Responsibilities:
* To follow TiLA policies and procedures, especially those relating to child protection and health and safety.
* Contribute to the overall ethos, work and aims of the school.
* Appreciate and support the role of other professionals.
* Supervise and engage: Oversee children during breakfast and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Promote healthy eating: Prepare, serve, and encourage nutritious breakfast choices.
* Create a welcoming atmosphere: Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel happy and supported.
* Encourage positive behaviour: Support good manners, teamwork, and social interaction among pupils.
* Plan activities: Organise engaging games and activities to keep children entertained before school.
* Ensure safety and well-being: Follow safeguarding procedures, first aid protocols, and school policies.
* Maintain cleanliness: Keep the breakfast area tidy and follow hygiene and food safety regulations.
* Communicate with staff and parents: Provide updates on any concerns, incidents, or relevant information about pupils.
* Be a positive role model: Demonstrate enthusiasm, patience, and a caring attitude towards all children.
Fluency Duty: The ability to converse at ease with pupils, parents and other users of the service and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
