In this role you will provide pre and post contract/commercial management advice and partner with our customers, a typical day could include -
5. Providing strategic review of commercial model and contract
6. Contract administration
7. Providing review and advice on commercial impact of all contract matters including proposed changes to requirements and works information.
8. Adjudicating and providing advice on the contractual entitlement of Compensation Events
9. Managing Change and Risk through EWN’s and CE’s
10. Approval of key Subcontracts, the production of project reports
11. Providing review of proposed procurement strategies and advice on all supply chain matters
12. Reviewing and providing recommendations on the approval of subcontract tender reports
13. Processing Applications for Payment
14. Adjudicating and providing advice on Quotations for Compensation Events
15. Attending / leading Commercial / Contract meetings
16. Comply with Quality Management Systems, processes and procedures.
About You
What we are looking for:
17. Proven background working or supporting on UK Infrastructure Projects with a preference on Water and Utilities.
18. Experience of NEC3/4 contracts.
19. Experience of working with corporate risk and audit functions.
20. Experience of cost verification, internal/external audit, financial reviews on significant infrastructure and construction projects.
21. Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
22. Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
23. Good organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
24. Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
25. Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
26. Experience in data analysis tools such as Power BI.
27. Experience of contract management and administration systems.
28. Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
29. Ability to work as part of a team, and/or to lead a team, depending on level.
Qualifications
30. MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards.
