Job Description:
Here at the Mick George Group we are looking for a Remediation Site Manager to join the team at our Head Office in Huntingdon.
Job Overview: To support the business in achieving its aims and objectives through the delivery of remediation/environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Organise remediation works to ensure compliance with relevant legislation/regulations, MGE policies and procedures, and required health and safety standards.
2. Undertake site visits as required to address enquiries received by MGE, compiling all relevant paperwork.
3. Produce accurate quotations for review and issue to clients as per policy requirements.
4. Compile accurate costings and programme for all site works.
5. Produce suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments/Method Statements in compliance with industry best practices and regulations.
6. Plan all labour, plant, and materials to ensure safe working practices and liaise with the Office Manager for allocation and ordering.
7. Manage all site works in liaison with the MGE site team and client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget, and to client satisfaction.
8. Complete Site Audits and Site Visit Forms to assist in achieving MGE targets.
9. Attend weekly operations, monthly managers, and six-weekly supervisor meetings.
10. Participate in wider objectives of the company.
Qualifications/Experience:
1. Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role.
2. Committed to providing first-rate customer service.
3. Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation including health and safety.
4. IT literate – proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and remote meeting tools (e.g., Skype).
5. Effective communicator, influencer, and relationship builder.
6. Strong written communication skills for producing quotes and remediation method statements and associated reports.
7. Commercial awareness to manage financial implications of projects and improve margins.
8. Honest and reliable.
9. Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary amidst challenging demands on time.
10. Ability to balance operational needs with best practices.
11. Full driving licence.
12. Experience in a remediation contracting environment.
