Senior FPGA Developers / DSP Algorithm Developers
My client is a market leader and well-known brand operating within the areas of Defence Intelligence supporting government and businesses around the world.
We are looking for bright, enthusiastic and committed individuals to work as Senior FPGA developers in one of our customer-facing product teams. Relevant industry experience is preferable, but most of all we are looking for individuals with a strong academic background and the ability to learn quickly.
You will be responsible for:
1. Designing and developing state-of-the-art FPGA designs for one of our software-defined radio (SDR) solutions.
2. Designing and testing Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms using MATLAB or similar.
3. Managing technical tasks/projects and people.
4. Customer-facing delivery, sometimes to challenging deadlines.
5. Customer-facing technical consultancy.
You will have:
1. A strong academic background typically in Engineering, Physics or Mathematics with a 2:1 or 1st class degree. A Levels typically AA in Maths and Physics. PhD applicants also encouraged.
2. Broad interest in wireless technology, embedded systems and awareness of the latest industry developments.
3. Ability to produce high-quality FPGA designs.
4. Understanding of FPGA and SoC architectures.
5. Experience of FPGA development (e.g., VHDL).
6. Understanding of radio communications.
7. Understanding of digital signal processing.
8. Development on Linux-based systems.
9. Range of software development experience including MATLAB, C++, Python.
