We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to manage the day-to-day running of our Inspection department to help us continue to deliver high quality components.
Senior Inspector Role Responsibilities:
1. Manage the day-to-day activities of the Inspection department.
2. Supervise the team of quality inspectors for daily tasks.
3. Manage priorities to deliver components on time.
4. Schedule workload through the QC department to meet the required schedules including working with other internal departments requirements.
5. Undertake and plan the department training needs / skills gaps.
6. Work with the Quality team for issuing NCR’s in an acceptable timeframe.
7. Identify metrology needs and install any training as required.
8. Look for opportunities for continuous improvement within the department.
9. Develop internal processes and procedures to improve the QC as agreed with the Quality Manager.
10. Aid the Quality department with identifying root cause and corrective actions as required.
11. Liaise with Engineering department for conclusions of NCR’s and any corrective actions on drawings.
Required Experience for our Senior Inspector:
1. Read and understand detailed drawings and documentation.
2. Experience of a Quality role within Composites and Automotive.
3. Good working knowledge of Polyworks Software.
4. Previous scheduling experience is desirable.
5. Used to working in a fast-paced environment.
6. Understand and compare product against visual standards.
7. Promote adherence to the ISO 9001.2015 standard requirements.
8. Understand the strengths and weaknesses of different geometrical alignments.
Required Skills for our Senior Inspector:
1. Ability to communicate to all levels across the business effectively.
2. Ability to work to tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
3. Manage and motivate the Inspection Team.
4. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy levels.
5. Excellent organisational skills.
Salary: Depending on Experience
Job Type: Onsite, Full-time, permanent, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. *Flexibility Required at certain times to meet business requirements*
