About the Team The Turn Around for Children Service is a multi-agency, professional service which manages and delivers the Gloucestershire Family Drug & Alcohol Court. We support families who have addictions and co-morbidities which present as Hidden Harm for children. We work intensely, therapeutically, systematically and restoratively. We work with trauma across whole families, most often generational trauma. We work with families in a court setting and write reports every fortnight. TACS delivers the FDAC with fidelity to the national model, whilst also holding the responsibility for the children and their permanency decisions. TACS works with other FDAC’s around the country and is involved in the promotion of the model of collaborative problem-solving courts. We are in the enviable position of being able to learn from each other in our daily practice but also nationally and politically. TACS adheres and contributes to the national outcomes framework and takes part in bespoke research.TACS delivers it’s service across the county, and although situated centrally in Shire Hall, delivers it’s interventions to all localities. The service is made up of:An FDAC JudgeSenior and office administratorsService ManagerConsultant PsychiatristHealth visitorsSpeech and Language Therapist2 social workers – 1 of which is an APClincal lead – mental health nurseSubstance Misuse lead – nurseOccupational TherapistDual nurse (SM & MH)2 senior family support workers6 FDAC locality social workers (as part of our hub and spoke model) About the Role You will have caseload of families who are in FDAC, it is important to understand that this will be all court work. You will also hold those families who have Graduated (reunified with their children) on a 12mth Supervision Order, which is the post-proceedings offer from TACS.Work closely with the multi-professional team,Write court reports every fortnight, which are multi-professional, and your task is to ‘curate’, that is bring this report together.Attend FDAC every other Friday.Implement any changes that are required by Gloucestershire Children\\\'s Services, undertake QA activity for the service, this is likely to be a multi-professional task.Participate in and support group supervision of our FDAC locality social workers and support their role.In addition to the court work you will manage the child\\\'s legal status and statutory task, You will actively pursue the child’s permanency plan.There will be lose integration of delivery with the other professionals in the service.Excellent communication and problem solving skills,the ability to make honest, respectful and therapeutic relationships with families.Develop relationships of respect with partner agencies including the 3rd sector.
