Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor
Shirley Parsons is partnering with a leading construction company to offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join their team. If you are passionate about driving sustainability, minimising environmental impacts, and shaping best practices, this role will allow you to make a real difference while supporting high-profile projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead Sustainability Action Plans – Support the delivery of sustainability initiatives, ensuring environmental goals are met and exceeded.
2. Provide Expert Guidance – Advise internal teams on environmental best practices and compliance, championing sustainability across the organisation.
3. Enhance Environmental Performance – Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
4. Drive Incident Investigations – Analyse environmental incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure lessons are learned to prevent recurrence.
5. Collaborate & Influence – Work with regulatory bodies, clients, and external partners to uphold high environmental standards and compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Qualified Environmental Professional – Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field (IEMA, IEEM, CIWEM certifications are a plus).
2. Industry Experience – At least 3 years in environmental management, sustainability, or compliance, ideally within construction, civil engineering, or utilities.
3. Knowledge of Regulations – Familiarity with environmental legislation, ISO 14001, and industry best practices, with the ability to apply them effectively.
4. Analytical & Communication Skills – Strong data analysis abilities paired with excellent communication skills to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
5. Proactive & Adaptable – A solutions-driven mindset with the ability to lead initiatives, manage multiple projects, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
