Job Title: Service Coordinator
BAM Ritchies is currently recruiting for a Service Coordinator to join our team at our Kilsyth, Scotland Workshop and depot. The role involves supporting service activities for other managers within the department in their daily operational tasks of busy projects. Working within the Operations Team, you will help improve safety, systems, processes, and support our plant and equipment.

Your mission
As a Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
1. Recording and processing regular plant inspections and services
2. Providing scheduled servicing requirements to supervisors and managers
3. Booking external examinations with third-party providers and advising clients
4. Requesting and ordering materials through SAP procurement system promptly
5. Planning and managing pre-insurance inspections on owned and hired equipment
6. Coordinating service schedules, submitting, and tracking lubricant samples
7. Ensuring proper upkeep and tracking repairs of plant, communicating with engineers and end users for optimal performance
8. Managing workshop compliance and activities
9. Analyzing non-conformities, identifying trends, and implementing proactive maintenance regimes
10. Reporting, analyzing, and closing out repairs within systems; identifying areas for improvement and service trends
11. Maintaining computer literacy with Microsoft Office, ACC, SAP, Excel, Word
12. Coordinating COSHH compliance
13. Providing dates for internal document review processes
This role ensures smooth daily operations, manages stock and equipment, maintains depot safety and cleanliness, and assists with general site maintenance. Additional duties include conducting safety checks, enforcing safety procedures, reporting issues, ensuring PPE use, assisting with vehicle loading/unloading, site setup, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.

Preferred qualifications include experience handling construction equipment and materials, a forklift license, and a valid driver’s license.
