We are currently recruiting for a permanent Hardware Electronics Engineering Project Manager to be based in our Basildon site, with the opportunity for hybrid working. The main purpose of the role is to act as the key responsible engineer for electronic hardware design activities on ECI projects throughout all development phases.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Lead design activities from a hardware perspective, creating and managing hardware project planning with estimations and schedules.
* Interact with customers and other disciplines for DCDC converters, high voltage power distribution systems, smart junction boxes, and body electronics for both passenger cars and trucks.
* Organize project information and requirements for the success of the project.
* Assist quality assurance in verifying requirements, design implementation, and testing.
* Regularly report to management on project progress.
* Participate in quotation activities for new business.
Requirements:
* Solid experience working as a Hardware Project Manager.
* Ability to manage projects and delivery.
* Strong planning skills for hardware tasks.
* Monitor and coordinate tasks and dynamically update the hardware timing plan.
* Work with the hardware management team to update project resource needs.
* Strong presentation and documentation skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Previous automotive experience in hardware.
* Knowledge about electronics, power supplies, digital and analog circuits, EMC/EMI.
* Knowledge of automotive electronic standards.
* Knowledge of automotive electronics assembly processes.
* Ability to travel both in the UK and overseas, sometimes at short notice.
* Full valid driving license to drive in the UK.
* Fluent in English.
* Right to work in the UK – Valid Passport.
