Low Volume Build Manager (Production Zone Manager/Workshop Manager)

My high-profile automotive client is looking for a Low Volume Build Manager to join their team based at their Crewe site (fully on site) on an initial 3-month contract with a chance of extensions.

Role and Responsibilities:
This role will have you spearheading the development of our client's exclusive, classic car collection. The cars being produced are made to order by high-value clientele around the world looking to add a piece of history to their collection. Normal production volume looks to be around 30 (full cars) per year, with a monetary value of anything from £1,000,000 - £3,000,000. In addition to this, the team will be tasked with sourcing specific parts required to fix/maintain customers' classic cars purchased through the client (circa 1900 per year).
As the Build Manager, it will be your responsibility to oversee the production of the ordered vehicles from the initial stages of the order being made right through until collection day and assisting with aspects of aftercare.
1. Day-to-day build management of niche vehicles - sub 20 volume but £1mil to £2Mil in value
2. Management of a team of circa 20 technicians (mix of Perm, Contract, and subcontract)
3. H&S responsibility using internal systems
4. Build status reporting to senior management daily
5. Running of start of shift meetings
6. Problem logging
7. Facility maintenance reporting and issue raising
