Job Responsibilities
The RE Teacher will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering Religious Education lessons to students. They will create engaging and informative lesson plans that adhere to the national curriculum. The teacher will assess and evaluate students' progress, provide feedback, and support their learning needs. They will also participate in school events, meetings, and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Minimum Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Degree in Religious Studies or related field
3. Knowledge of the national curriculum for Religious Education
4. Previous experience teaching Religious Education in a school setting is preferred
5. Strong understanding of Religious Education principles and practices
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to effectively engage and motivate students
8. Postgraduate qualification in Education
9. Experience working with diverse student populations
The RE Teacher will work in a school environment, following the school's academic calendar. They may need to attend meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events outside of regular school hours. The role may involve working with students of varying abilities and backgrounds.
