Associate Architect Job in Chichester, West Sussex
We are working with a Top 150 construction consultancy, currently offering an exciting Associate Architect job. This is a key role in establishing and growing the Chichester architectural department, working on a variety of projects while driving business development and building a strong team.
The multidisciplinary consultancy operates from six offices with approximately 120 staff across the Southwest, South Coast, and London. They provide services including architecture, building surveying, quantity surveying, project management, town planning, and urban design across sectors such as education, residential, commercial, healthcare, and the public sector.
Due to new project wins and growth plans, they are seeking an experienced Associate Architect to join their Chichester office. This role would suit an experienced Associate or an Architect seeking to develop their career.**
Role & Responsibilities
Lead projects through all RIBA stages, developing briefs with key stakeholders
Drive business development activities to attract new clients and nurture existing relationships
Actively contribute to growing the architectural team locally, including recruitment and mentoring
Represent the architectural team during client meetings and maintain strong relationships through direct collaboration
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project and surveying professionals in the Chichester office
Liaise with planning and building control authorities, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards
Collaborate with internal and external consultants to coordinate specialist design information
Engage with other architectural professionals across the company's offices to share knowledge and resources
Promote a culture of continuous professional development and team collaboration.
Required Skills & Experience
ARB-registered Architect and RIBA Chartered Member.
Strong background in business development and client management, with proven success in growing client accounts and winning new work
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in team recruitment, development, and management
Proficient in Revit, with additional knowledge of AutoCAD, NBS Chorus, and BIM360 being advantageous
Strong creative and technical design abilities, with experience detailing complex buildings and delivering comprehensive working drawing packages
Experience across multiple sectors, with façade and education project experience being a plus
Proven ability to lead and deliver projects across all RIBA stages.
Full UK driving license required.
