The opportunity
Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager for our Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The role offers the opportunity to work on some of the largest and most exciting clients to support them navigating an increasingly complex tax environment.
Most importantly, you will be responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients, ensuring you are their day-to-day contact and that they have access to the full range of services available at EY.
Your key responsibilities:
* Grow and maintain relationships with existing and new clients
* Manage the successful delivery of complex tax compliance, reporting engagements, and related consulting projects
* Participate in tax audit engagements
* Provide exceptional client service
* Collaborate with other tax specialist teams
* Supervise, coach, and mentor staff to develop their skills
* Lead team initiatives and ensure team success
Skills and attributes for success:
* Significant experience in corporate tax (practice or in-house)
* Strong client relationship management skills
* Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
* Business development capabilities
* Effective time management and ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
* Team player with leadership qualities
* Experience coaching and developing junior staff
* Commitment to quality work
Minimum qualifications:
* At least 5 years of corporate tax experience
* ACA / CA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent qualification
