Main Duties
Ensure designs are delivered on time and within budget.
Manage resource allocation to prioritize high-priority tasks.
Collaborate with senior management to support projects across different locations and disciplines.
Incorporate the requirements of Authorities and Statutory bodies into designs.
Review and authorize design information and reports with constructive feedback.
Prepare designs in accordance with MCHW, DMRB, and local design guidance.
Foster innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, particularly CDM Regulations, adopting a proactive risk management approach.
Requirements
Experience with Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects.
Strong technical skills and experience across various highway design environments.
Proven ability to manage highway projects and deliver them on time and within budget.
Experience mentoring and supervising highway design staff.
Robust working knowledge of highways technical documents, including DMRB.
Proficiency in highway drainage design and the use of MicroDrainage software.
Familiarity with Civils 3D CAD software.
Ability to provide technical advice on highway structures at a senior level.
Desirable Requirements
Experience in preparing cost estimates.
Membership in a relevant Chartered Institute.
A valid UK driving license.
