We are working with a top UK university to recruit for a Telecoms Project Engineer. This is fantastic opportunity to modernise their communication infrastructure and make a real impact. You'll lead the telephony aspects of key projects, creating detailed high and low-level designs and ensuring seamless execution.
Salary: Circa £52,000 per annum plus excellent benefits

Location: London
Key responsibilities include:
Leading all project work and acting as the Telephony Technical Lead
Creating High- and Low-level design (HLDs and LLDs) documentation
Delivery all Telephony elements of key projects
Executing projects promptly, effectively and in a controlled manner
Identifying and implementing process and service improvements
Day-to-day troubleshooting and monitoring of all telecommunications systems
Running routine tests to ensure that all components are functioning correctly
Documenting current infrastructure including MDFs, DPs, tie cables, and structured wiring
Tidying and rationalisation of the telephony system and infrastructure
Configuring and housekeeping of Mitel MX-One, Proteus Call Logger and Liberty Voicemail / ACD
The successful candidates will have:
Experience with installation, maintenance, or support of PABX systems
Good working knowledge of Krone frames and CW1308 cabling
ISDN30 and PSTN circuits
SIP Trunks
Analogue telephony
SIP telephony
SBCs
MS Teams
Operational experience of MD110 / Mitel MX-One, Sonus / Ribbon SBC 2000s is highly desirable
Understanding of data networks
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders across the business
