Job Description:
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Head of Revenue & Service Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the new business and growth, as well as strategically achieving the business goals. The role will be accountable for defining, creating and implementing a new business development strategy for the domestic and commercial market in Guernsey.
Responsibilities:
To ensure all activities are carried out safely, on time, with quality and efficiency.
To contribute to the profitability of the company.
Generation of profitable gas load / renewable energy growth via implementation of a marketing strategy/sales plan whilst retaining existing load.
Develop relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure that IEG’s businesses are included in the islands energy strategies.
Accountabilities:
Identification of Oil customers in Guernsey; map out ‘where & how many’
Target these customers in order to switch then from oil to gas supplied
Networking within domestic and commercial market to achieve above
Work with Channel Island Service Team to create proposals and sales campaigns to deliver customer attraction
To participate and assist in the delivery of the marketing strategy/sales plan delivering agreed sales targets and increased profitability for the company.
Become the Guernsey ‘Champion’ for Oil to Gas and Renewables market and ensure leading knowledge on the market and its players
Maintaining management information and providing statistics as required
Collate planning applications from government planning website. Contact and make appointments.
To identify business improvement opportunities and initiate appropriate mechanisms to realise the outcomes.
To ensure all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are managed effectively including company policies and procedure along with jurisdictions law and recommendations.
Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrates an understanding of compliance with oil and Gas market.
Experience in a similar business development role or environment.
Demonstrates successful achievement in a similar role
Desirable Skill Set:
Technical knowledge relevant to gas products
Renewable energy experience
