Community Integrated Care is one of the UK’s largest health and social care charities. We work hard enriching the lives of the people we support, with many different care needs. It’s exciting and rewarding work, and we’re full of pride and passion for what we do!
Since the early days, we’ve grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. This resonates in our vision of ‘Your Life, Your Choice’ and our strategy ‘Best Lives Possible’. We have strong values and we’re proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over national and regional awards!
We are focused on our people. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going ‘the extra mile’ for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us. Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role: This is an exciting opportunity to support an independent group of wonderful and different people, who live in their own self contained apartments within a small block. There is a communal open plan lounge and kitchen area, where the people we support often sit and chat, watch TV together, or cook and eat together. The people we support love to spend time together, and often go out for meals, trips to the seaside or anywhere else they choose! They have life goals too, just like everyone else! Some are studying, others are looking for part time jobs, and others just love to spend their time with their favourite support worker! However, there won't be time to rest on your laurels - this role is going to be full on, and is going to need a highly skilled and patient team. The people we support need emotional support and are capable of verbally and physically challenging behaviours. You will need to be cool, calm and resilient too! The established team of support workers are very knowledgeable, through their own experiences, and through the comprehensive training and induction provided by us. They are very friendly too, and the service has a great service leader as well! The focus is on fun, choice and inclusivity! As part of the recruitment process, you will have the opportunity to visit the service, meet the team and the people we support. We are confident, that after meeting everyone, you will want to start your new career journey with us! Your values:
We are looking for people to join our diverse and inclusive team of happy support workers! The perfect applicants need to be people who put others first, who are passionate about helping others, and that also like to have fun!
If this sounds like you, then a support worker role with us, could be perfect for you!
It takes a special person to work in social care, and we recognise that not everyone who might be perfect for the role, will have any professional experience. This is why we are really passionate about recruiting to your values. This means we can recruit from all walks of life, from people with vast experience in support work or care assistant roles, to those with lived experiences looking after friends or family members with disabilities, to people with other transferable skills or those with no experience at all.
Naturally it is important that you share our company values - We Include, We Deliver, We Aspire, We Respect, We Enable. This is at the heart of everything we do and ensures that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. Values are important to us, so we look for people with:
8. A strong work ethic, and a desire to do your best for others
9. Patience, Resilience and Determination
10. Compassion, Sensitivity, and Empathy
11. Honesty and Reliability
12. A caring nature, with a mature outlook
