Description Overview
We are excited to be recruiting for a dedicated Technical Information Officer to join our Packaging team based in our Barnsley office.
This position will suit a data-minded professional who is seeking a new challenge and has the desire to make a difference.
As a Technical Information Officer you will be responsible for the provision of technical product data to our customers, sustainability data reporting, and co-ordination of packing configurations for products sourced from external suppliers.
Working alongside two other Technical Information Officers, this position will report to the Lead Packaging Project Manager and will require close collaboration with most internal functions as well as our customers and external supply chain.
Scope of the Role
* Responsible for the research, collation, and provision of technical information to Perrigo’s customers
* Developing and maintaining relationships with customers to deliver high service levels
* Working with external suppliers to develop efficient packaging solutions for our products
* Storage and maintenance of packaging data to support new and existing packaging/ artwork projects
* Creating and maintaining packaging and sustainability data reports & dashboards
* Collating, analysing, and reporting sustainability data in line with the latest UK packaging waste regulations (plastic tax, palm oil, packaging & electrical waste etc.)
Experience Required
* Experience querying and verifying data from multiple sources
* Ability to build and maintain data sources
* Excellent customer service skills
* Advanced Excel skills
* High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to balance variable workload in a fast-paced environment
* Knowledge of manufacturing, packing & distribution, and packaging & artwork processes (preferred)
* Previous experience in a technical administrative role (desirable)
* Experience using PowerBI software and Excel Power Query (desirable)
