Contract summary: Permanent, full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 09.00 - 17.00
The role: A vacancy has arisen for a Senior ICT Technician to provide efficient and customer-friendly ICT client support services to the School community. The postholder will support the smooth running of the School’s systems and hardware, and will provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support for a portfolio of advanced topics. They will maintain and administer the Active Directory, Exchange and O365 services, the School’s Virtual Learning Environment and the software library, as well as implementing a portfolio of projects. The skills: This role will suit someone with an advanced understanding of IT in an organisational environment, and knowledge of cyber security and data protection principles to protect the School. You will pride yourself on your strong helpdesk experience and excellent customer relationship building skills. Your problem-solving skills will equip you to see issues through to completion and champion the constant improvement of the department’s expertise and effectiveness. You will appreciate working within a friendly team, surrounded by a variety of interesting and historic buildings, and being part of the life of our vibrant School.

The environment: Harrow School is situated in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world. Around 835 boys study at Harrow and live in the School’s 12 boarding houses. The ICT Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the School’s computer network, audio-visual and telephone facilities. There are over 1000 mobile devices and 500 PCs, spread over 60 buildings.
