Summary of the role The Strategic Initiatives Manager plays a pivotal role in implementing and coordinating a portfolio of initiatives that underpin the current Research and Impact Strategy and will continue to be critical to the next strategy (2026–2031). The postholder will oversee key initiatives, including the Exeter Research Networks, and the Complex Initiatives Fund. This forward-looking role is critical in shaping Exeter’s research environment to support dynamic collaborations and innovative, high-impact research. About you You will be: Interested in implementing and shaping a major institutional research and impact strategy. Have a keen interest in all areas of research. Be excited about building interdisciplinary research communities. Be able to influence and be a strong negotiator and communicator. You will need to be able to make connections between different opportunities and issues and to identify and link the right people from across the university. Have a good understanding of the UK's research and impact funding landscape. Have excellent attention to detail.
