The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day operational leadership and management of Stroke teams, providing services to patients in accordance with agreed objectives, targets, quality standards, controls, and resource constraints alongside the team lead for the east and in collaboration with the clinical specialists. *Ensure a high standard of care and treatment for patients and to work with other members of the team and other agencies to best meet the patients' health and social needs. *Play an active role in the development of services in line with the Trust's Strategy and Business Plan. *Provide clinical support and supervision to staff within the team and to provide clinical leadership. *will maintain a clinical caseload of 30% of contractual hours, for which they are personally accountable and professionally responsible *To be responsible for the operational management of the staff in the Team. *To deputise for the integrated community stroke service manager as necessary. *To be responsible for recruitment, appointment and supervision of staff. *To take delegated responsibility for the day to day management of the team budget. *To monitor expenditure in order to maintain financial balance. To be an authorised signatory for the team budget. *To manage staff attendance at training, performance, setting objectives and clear expectations of staff behaviour. *To manage and support staff through change using the appropriate human resource processes. *To promote a culture whereby complaints are managed in an open and constructive manner in line with Trust Policy.
