About the Role:
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements (including Ofsted and EYFS frameworks). You will lead, motivate, and support our dedicated team of practitioners, oversee daily operations, manage budgets, build strong relationships with parents and carers, and champion exceptional early years practice throughout the setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage nursery staff, promoting a positive and professional working environment.
Ensure the effective implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Oversee the planning and delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
Maintain high standards of care, safety, and safeguarding for all children.
Manage nursery admissions, occupancy levels, and parent communication.
Oversee financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Work collaboratively with external agencies and the local community.
Drive continuous improvement and maintain/enhance our Ofsted rating.
About You:
Essential: Proven experience in a nursery management or deputy management role.
Essential: In-depth knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and Ofsted requirements.
Essential: Relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 minimum, Degree preferred).
Strong leadership, management, and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and staff.
A genuine passion for early childhood education and development.
Financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Ability to start immediately or at very short notice.
