The Gig: You will work day-to-day with the Group team based in the London office, however the Finance team is global and therefore you will have regular interactions with other regions. The team operates within a highly dynamic environment, this role provides a broad finance experience across reporting, compliance, tax and auditing and is therefore a perfect opportunity for an individual wanting to develop their core finance knowledge and skills. What You'll Be Doing: Active involvement in the month end and year end process, supporting with journal entries and reconciliations to ensure timely delivery of results. Maintaining the accruals & prepayments schedules and other key balance sheet reconciliations with justification of all balances. Performing revenue analysis by country/location, recording of deferred and accrued income and reconciliations of pass through revenue Providing clear, concise commentary to aid understanding of key drivers Support with the annual audit and statutory accounts processes. Identifying areas of improvement within the Financial Controls process. Assisting the Group Finance Manager in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and other key areas in tax processes (corporation tax, R&D claims, VAT, PSA & P11D returns). Working closely with our Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met. Supporting the team to implement and maintain a documented Global system of accounting policies and procedures. About You Competent, thorough and analytical individual who can work independently and preferably has industry experience; Able to adapt quickly to changing requirements and work effectively with minimal supervision; Comfortable delivering to reporting deadlines and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment; Has a can-do attitude to ensure the business has the correct level of support; Willing to learn, develop and contribute ideas for process improvement; and Passion for making a difference and contributing to the development of the business. Essential: Experience working in accounting and finance. Knowledge of accounting principles. Experience of posting journal entries. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Experience using financial business systems (financial reporting tools and accounting systems) to manage information and data. Advanced Excel and Word skills. Why IDX?
