Job Details:
As a Plater/Fabricator, you will be responsible for producing high-quality fabrications, on time, to budget, and in a safe manner. Working as part of a team and independently, you will manufacture bespoke and standard fabrications. Other duties include reading engineering drawings and working with a variety of materials such as Stainless, Aluminium, and others as required. You will be an experienced Plater/Fabricator skilled in welding processes and all aspects of processing steel such as cutting, shearing, drilling, burning, and bending. You will work to tolerances and parameters, ensuring that quality and production standards are met. Follow and adhere to procedures, health & safety, and quality to maintain company standards and customer satisfaction.
Pay & Benefits:
This is a permanent full-time opportunity working Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm with an 11.00am finish on Friday. The starting hourly rate is £17.00 per hour, with overtime available paid at premium rates. Benefits include 33 days holiday (including 8 bank holidays), pension, PPE, and parking.
Qualifications:
To succeed as a Plater/Fabricator, candidates will ideally be apprentice trained with City and Guilds in fabrication/welding or equivalent, including time served, and have previous experience in Plating, Fabrication, and MAG/MIG welding processes. You will also have experience reading engineering drawings in a heavy engineering environment, with excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude. Ideally, candidates will hold a full driver's license, as you may occasionally be required to travel to customer sites locally.
