We have an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our West Midlands region working initially across 3 sites in Wolverhampton, HMP Oakwood, HMP Brinsford and HMP Featherstone, with further expansion in the future to work across all 10 prisons within the West Midlands region.
This role will focus on Specialist Physiotherapist specifically fragility care. You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary across all sites including the Specialist Practice Nurse and Advanced Clinical Practitioners to develop and deliver high quality Physiotherapy support, ensuring the prevention and management of long term conditions.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £47,000 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Physiotherapist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Commit to the development and delivery of a frailty framework and for the prevention and management of long-term conditions including but not limited to Obesity, Hypertension and Diabetes.
2. Deliver courses and workshops to patients within the prison setting.
3. Demonstrating critical thinking in a safe clinical decision-making process.
4. Provide care for the presenting patient from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care.
5. Demonstrate safe, competent expert holistic care, including assessment and diagnostic skills.
6. Communicating and working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary teams across sites to meet the needs of patients, supporting the delivery of the Frailty framework and LTC workstream and providing clinical education and leadership, upskilling the local workforce.

Qualifications required
14. Registered Physiotherapist (HCPC and MCSP)
15. Specialist interest in care of the older person / comprehensive geriatric assessment / frailty / Dementia / End of life care.
16. Strong IT skills and IT literacy including competence in digital platforms for consultation and Outlook and SystmOne
17. Evidence of relevant experience within physiotherapy and Continued Professional Development (CPD)
18. To maintain a high standard of clinical practice through self-directed learning, peer supervision/review and attendance and participation in training and supervision sessions.
