Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Consultant to join our team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will be RICS Chartered with a Master's degree in Construction Law and extensive experience in dispute resolution, dispute avoidance, contractual advice, and contract law. This role requires a deep understanding of JCT and NEC contracts, alongside expertise in adjudications and expert witness services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert dispute resolution and avoidance services to clients within the construction sector.
2. Deliver specialist contractual advice, ensuring compliance with JCT and NEC contracts.
3. Support clients with adjudications, expert witness reports, and contract law interpretation.
4. Conduct in-depth risk analysis and mitigation strategies for complex construction projects.
5. Advise on commercial and programme management aspects to optimize project performance.
6. Lead client engagements, ensuring professional and strategic delivery of consultancy services.
7. Develop and implement training programs on dispute resolution and contract management.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance service offerings and provide innovative solutions.
9. Identify business development opportunities and contribute to client relationship management.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. RICS Chartered professional status is essential.
2. Master's degree in Construction Law or a closely related field.
3. Extensive experience in dispute resolution, dispute avoidance, contractual advice, and adjudications.
4. Strong expertise in JCT and NEC contracts.
5. Proven experience in expert witness services and contract law application.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
7. Strong stakeholder management and client engagement experience.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
