We have an exciting opportunity to work with us as a Ward Clerk on Frailty Assessment Unit - Ward 24 covering the medicine care group.
You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ward. As a key member of the administration team, you'll be responsible for managing patients' records, admissions, discharges, and transferring patients to other areas, coordinating appointments and providing essential support to health care professionals.
This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Main duties of the job
Interested applicants must have excellent communication skills, be a good team player, and enjoy meeting and working with the public. Basic computer skills are also a requirement for the job, and NHS experience would be an advantage; however, full training will be given to the successful applicant on the use of the hospital computer systems.
The successful applicants will be expected to cover all admin support for the wards and units.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE Level or equivalent. Maths and English at C or above - or equivalent qualification/demonstrable experience.
* Computer literacy skills to RSA 2, NVQ 2 or equivalent.
* Experience of dealing with confidential information.
* Experience (1 year minimum) in an Office/Administrative role.
* Previous Office/Administrative experience in an NHS environment.
Skills
* Possess sound communication skills.
* Ability to function effectively as part of a Team.
* Able to organise and prioritise own workload.
* Have the ability to exercise initiative.
