There is an exciting career opportunity for a highly motivated and suitably experienced nurse to join the team of Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialists at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital within the gynae-oncology services.
Gynae-Oncology is part of the Cancer and Surgery Clinical Group, aiming to provide high-quality care to patients during their cancer journey.
The post holder should have knowledge of cancer pathways, gynae-oncology experience, and a passion to holistically support patients from diagnosis.
The CNS team works closely with medical and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role.
The successful candidate should enjoy working within a team and be capable of working autonomously when needed.

Main duties of the job

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will be part of a team of Gynae-oncology clinical nurse specialists, managing clinic attendance, ward rounds, and multidisciplinary meetings. Patients can access the service via a CNS helpline, with calls prioritized accordingly.
Maintaining strong relationships with patients and colleagues and providing specialist advice are key responsibilities.
