This dual-role position involves managing new tenders from concept to submission and continuing into Quantity Surveying through project delivery and final account. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone with a strong technical background in UK internal fit-out works (such as drylining, carpentry, and joinery) and a keen eye for detail. A proactive attitude and drive for continual learning and improvement are essential. Note: Estimating will take up more than 50% of your workload—this is a critical part of the role. Key Responsibilities 1. Estimation & Tender Management Analyse plans, specs, and tender documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates Carry out material and labour take-offs using Bluebeam and Excel Prepare competitive bids and submit comprehensive tender packages 1. Cost Analysis & Reporting Monitor cost trends and maintain estimate accuracy Generate cost breakdowns and variance reports for management Maintain and update cost databases in line with market rates 1. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Obtain and negotiate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors Maintain collaborative supplier relationships Oversee procurement, budget tracking, and cost control reporting 1. Quantity Surveying & Project Delivery Administer contracts, interim valuations, and payments post-award Manage change orders and assess variations in line with contracts Compile and reconcile final project accounts 1. Stakeholder Communication Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to clarify scope and resolve queries Provide regular updates and cost-control recommendations to senior management 1.
