In the GP surgery you will manage patient requests for prescriptions, reconcile medications following discharge from hospital or following up out-patient appointments, contact patients to ensure they understand any changes to their medication and liaise with community pharmacies. Strong IT skills and the ability to learn fast are essential. You must have a desire to grow and develop quickly. This is a fixed term contract for 2 years with a possibility of a permanent role after registering as a qualified Pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will also become an accuracy checking technician who will undertake final checks on prescriptions.
