THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to build your career within our team based in the South West for this well-established consultancy. The successful Structural Engineer candidate will be required to simultaneously work on an eclectic mix of projects in a variety of arenas to:
1. Provide engineering design and consultancy services to a wide range of projects, mainly residential and commercial builds
2. Ensure that sufficient and full information is available on all projects
3. Carry out site visits
4. Provide advice and guidance on builds and projects
5. Project management of building projects, typically £250K-£500K
6. Report writing
7. Design utilising a variety of materials including steel, concrete and masonry
THE CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for an ambitious candidate possessing the desire to further develop their career within a Civil/Structural Engineering practice. The right person will have the following experience:
1. Considerable experience as a Structural Engineer
2. Strong academic background within a relevant discipline
3. The desire to develop a career
4. Good knowledge of current building standards, analysis and codes of practice
5. Enthusiastic and self-motivated
6. Professional telephone manner with good interpersonal and communication skills.
SALARY: Depending on Experience, 7.5% into pension

This role is commutable from: Exeter, Taunton, Bristol, Bridgwater, Plymouth, Dorchester, Yeovil, Bath.
