Job Description
As a Designer on 4505, you’ll be responsible for design the Womenswear and Menswear 4505 ranges for our twenty something customer. If you love fashion design, activewear and researching the latest trends, and want to be part of a fast-paced fashion forward design team this could be the opportunity for you.
What You’ll be Doing
1. Researching, developing, and designing into a head-to-toe all category brand - both Womenswear and Menswear. You will be identifying key shapes for the season within the activewear world, key colours and fabrics in order to build the best range on the high street for our global customer base.
2. Researching current and future trends by a collection of different sources to identify newness and ensure the 4505 is relevant and fresh.
3. Reacting to sales information and design commercially relevant fashion forward ranges, capturing the seasonal big deals within the sports and activewear world.
4. Presenting trend research to other teams including buying and commercial leadership, where relevant
5. Ensuring that product reflects the brand strategy, the range is without gaps or duplication, and that the season is logically and commercially thought through.
6. Working closely with in-house buying teams, to create fresh product, each season and shape the direction for the department, ensuring it is aligned to the brand and divisional strategy.
7. Working with the technical team on initial fits. Identifying and helping problem solve for the department.
8. Building relations with suppliers and advising factories on direction, construction, key details, materials, and trims.
9. Adhering to the critical path to achieve deadlines, ensuring product is developed for the relevant and optimum selling period.
10. An ability to research and develop unique product working with short lead suppliers and reacting to new trends quickly.
11. Creating clear, concise and detailed technical packs and overseeing designs from development stage to going live on site.

Qualifications
Who We’d Like to Meet
13. 3-5 year’s significant experience in multi-product design within an aspirational brand, high street retailer or activewear brand.
14. Proven ability to drive the success of a department or brand thorough strategic and commercial thinking.
15. A commercial handwriting and strong understanding of the 4505 and ASOS brand and customer
16. Someone who is forthcoming and confident in presenting exciting new ideas back to the
17. wider team and senior management.
18. PLM knowledge beneficial
19. Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the 4505 and ASOS brand and customer
20. Computer Skills: Photoshop, Adobe, CAD, but also great hand drawing skills.
21. A fashion forward individual with strong work ethics and great time management
22. The confidence to identify problems and makes improvement suggestions, seeking practical ways to overcome barriers and remaining calm under pressure.
23. The ability to communicate to the team
24. Willingness to travel in the UK and Internationally as required, for supplier meetings and inspiration / development trips where needed.
