Job Role: Quality Controller
Rate of Pay:
1. £12.69 per hour for the first 40 hours
2. £15.86 per hour for hours worked beyond 40
Working Week:
1. Contracted for 5 days per week (may increase to 6 days during busy periods)
2. Contract hours based between 50 - 50 Hours per week.
Responsibilities:
1. Inspect fresh produce upon arrival, during production, and prior to dispatch.
2. Perform necessary Quality inspection tests and Brix testing, using appropriate equipment and accurately record the results.
3. Verify the accuracy of product labels in accordance with specifications.
4. Complete all necessary documentation in compliance with relevant requirements.
5. Maintain excellent hygiene standards.
6. Engage in repetitive manual handling of products (up to 18kg).
7. Monitor the performance of Production Operatives, offering training, support, and constructive feedback to enhance productivity.
Key Skills:
1. Prior experience in a fresh produce environment is essential.
2. Strong attention to detail.
3. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
4. Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
5. Basic understanding of stock control systems.
