Team Leader - Homelessness and Modern Day Slavery and Trafficking Services
Six-month fixed term contract, subject to regular reviews with a possibility of extending or permanent.
37.5 hours per week - £31,883.00 per year
We are looking to recruit a Team Leader on a fixed term basis to assist in the effective management, administration, and coordination of the service.
Are you an experienced Leader with a background working in the Health and Social Care sector with vulnerable adults? Do you have a strong background in Quality, Audits, Governance, and team management, and speak a second language? Then we would like to hear from you!
Our service in Birmingham specializes in providing accommodation and support services to survivors of modern-day slavery & trafficking. Our clients come from varied nationalities and support needs, and our service is driven to provide a wide remit of services to them - Legal and Asylum representation, Mental Health, Trauma-induced support, Drugs & Alcohol, Ex-offending, Education & Employability, and support the clients to reintegrate back into the community.
To apply, you will need to be computer literate, empathetic, and able to think on your feet. This is a hands-on role and involves supporting the Service Manager with the daily operation of the service. Applicants will need to possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Minimum Requirements:
* Level 3 or above in health and social care or equivalent or willing to gain the qualification.
* Experience of working with vulnerable adults.
* Knowledge of modern Day Slavery & Trafficking working standards preferred.
* Experience in managing/supporting staff teams.
* Proven capability in managing a service that can provide person-centred support and carry out qualitative Risk Assessments.
* Inclination/Experience with basic Ledgers & Finance.
* Knowledge of or willingness to learn various aspects of a fast-paced work environment and contract.
* Preferably able to speak a second language.
