Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 5pm-7pm

The main purpose of this role is to support the Site / Account Manager by ensuring the site is supervised efficiently and effectively and that the specified cleaning standards are met and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and assist your Site / Account Manager in their duties.
* Ensure cleaners are trained and records are maintained effectively.
* Ensure adherence to site regulations and Company policies.
* Liaise with customers/clients as required.
* Undertake own cleaning duties and cover cleaning as necessary.
* Supervise employees to maintain specified cleaning and work standards, highlighting any issues to the Site / Account Manager.
* Welcome, induct, and train new/relief cleaners, ensuring they understand their roles and complete training records.
* Check attendance and time-keeping of employees; notify Site / Account Manager of relief requirements and any reporting failures.
* Ensure all staff wear the correct company uniform and represent Churchill positively.
* Inform Account Manager of any vacancies and assist in appointing cleaners.
* Update and check the site communications book daily and take action as requested.
* Complete and submit required paperwork on time, including timesheets.
* Order cleaning materials and ensure they are available on site.
* Supervise and coordinate periodic project work as required by the client.
* Assist with monthly quality audits and take corrective action as necessary.
* Ensure you are aware of and understand the site folders, keeping them up to date.
* Assist and support the Site / Account Manager in their duties and undertake additional duties as required.
* Undertake necessary training.
* Perform any other reasonable requests/duties as required by the client/company.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
* Take reasonable care of your own health and safety.
* Ensure not to put others at risk by your actions or inactions.
* Do not interfere with or misuse health, safety, or welfare provisions.
* Report any work-related injuries, strains, or illnesses.
* Inform Churchill of any changes affecting your ability to work.
* Notify Churchill if you take medication affecting your safety or others.
* Cooperate with Churchill to receive necessary training for safe work activities.
* Understand and work to all of Churchill’s health and safety policies.
* Provide quality induction for staff to enable them to carry out their duties safely.
* Regularly inspect and monitor work areas for unsafe conditions.
* Ensure any subcontractors have the correct method statements and risk assessments.
* Report any accidents at work immediately and complete necessary paperwork.
* Be responsible for the safe use and care of equipment and materials.
Person Specification:
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Churchill’s ethos and aims.
* Work in accordance with Churchill’s policies.
* Live within commuting distance of the site and travel to other local sites as needed.
* Willing to work unsocial hours as necessary.
* Maintain effective relationships with team members and customers.
* Previous supervisory experience in the cleaning industry is preferred but not essential.
* Experience in providing exceptional customer service.
* Demonstrate initiative and ability to multi-task under pressure.
* Ability to train and coach employees.
* Working knowledge of health and safety systems in the cleaning industry.
* Able to lift and carry heavy equipment and wear personal protective equipment.
* Effective communication skills in English.
* Plan and prioritize workload to achieve objectives on time.
* Identify problems and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Skills and Abilities:
* Experience in a client-facing environment.
* Experience in cleaning duties (desirable).
* Experience in supervising.
