We are seeking to appoint a part time permanent member of staff to our school office team. The post is 18 hours per week, 39 weeks per year during term time.
Applicants must have excellent IT and organisational skills, work well as part of a team, and have a good rapport with young people.
The support staff at Kirkcudbright Academy are vital in supporting the young people at the school, and are highly valued members of our whole school staff.
Kirkcudbright Academy is situated within the Stewartry area to the west of Dumfries and has a school roll of approximately 420 pupils. We are an inclusive school which strives to provide the best quality of education for life, with the needs of pupils at the centre of all we do.

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to formal offer of employment being made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have been resident outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered a position, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check, will be required to provide a completed police record check from the police authority in the country or countries in which they were resident.
