My client is recruiting for a Commissioning & Project Engineer to join their team. They are a leading provider of environmental solutions, services and technologies to private and public sector customers in the UK, Ireland and throughout the world for industrial wastewater solutions for a wide range of industries. Their ideal candidate will have proven electrical and mechanical project engineering experience with water treatment/wastewater solutions and also have commissioning of said equipment.
Commissioning & Project Engineer role:
The successful commissioning & project engineer will report to the Operations Director and be responsible for the following duties:
1. Responsibility for the full commissioning of effluent plants once construction has been completed.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the commissioning process.
3. Liaise with the design team to ensure plant commissioning requirements are incorporated at the design stage and included in the appropriate scope of works.
4. Assist Project Managers and Site Managers in the successful delivery of effluent plant construction installation projects.
5. Develop and deliver commissioning plans, programmes, and commissioning manual documentation.
6. Produce accurate reports detailing the progress of commissioning activities & distribute commissioning log/daily diaries and any other information with engineers.
7. Undertake site visits during tendering, design, and construction as required to support project delivery through to commissioning and handover.
8. Oversee and sign off FAT and SAT, and process witness tests.
9. Liaise with sub-contractors regarding commissioning deliverables and interfaces.
10. Liaise with the Client to ensure interfacing and switch over arrangements during commissioning are developed and integrated into the commissioning strategy.
11. Provide onsite & offsite support to optimise equipment performance and efficiency.
Commissioning & Project Engineer requirements:
1. Proven mechanical and electrical experience in the technical delivery and commissioning of industrial and wastewater effluent treatment plants.
2. Knowledge of PLC control system, functions and operations (programming not required) on Allen Bradley and Siemens.
3. Experience of fault finding, commissioning, and maintenance of wastewater treatment related products and systems.
4. Appropriate engineering degree or equivalent qualification desirable.
5. Electrical competence with City & Guilds Electrical Qualification desirable.
6. Construction Skills Certification Scheme Card desirable.
7. CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme desirable.
8. Full valid UK Driving Licence.
9. Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, Project), numerate, and able to write reports.
10. Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical, P&ID drawings, and related design documents.
11. Strong written and oral communication skills.
