To achieve this, we’re looking for a Head of Developer Services—a role that’s critical to driving transformation and delivering excellence across our Developer Services function.
This is a high-profile opportunity to lead a team of talented professionals and oversee a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You’ll manage relationships with major housebuilders, large corporate customers, and key stakeholders to ensure we deliver efficient, effective, and customer-focused solutions that align with our regulatory obligations and business goals.
What you’ll be doing as Head of Developer Services:
* Leading and managing a team of 100-150 FTEs, alongside supplier colleagues, to deliver against our strategic and operational goals.
* Overseeing the delivery of multi-million-pound water and wastewater infrastructure projects, ensuring they’re on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
* Building and managing strong relationships with executive-level stakeholders, including housebuilders, national infrastructure project leaders, and corporate clients.
* Driving the implementation of our Developer Measure of Experience (DMEX) improvement plan, mitigating financial penalties and unlocking potential opportunities.
* Acting as the key interface for Developer Services at Board, CEO, and Executive forums.
* Managing an operational budget of £750m over AMP8, delivering efficient capital spend and ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry standards.
* Leading the delivery of transformation initiatives to enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and improve health and safety outcomes.
Base location: Hybrid/Reading - Travel will also be required to visit sites.
Working Pattern: Full-time, 36 hours per week.

* Demonstrable experience leading large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally in a regulated industry.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge constructively and influence at an executive level.
* Strong understanding of health and safety requirements in large-scale project environments.
* A fresh-thinking approach, with the ability to solve complex challenges and drive innovative solutions.
* Experience managing diverse teams, including both in-house and outsourced colleagues.
* Commercial acumen, with the ability to balance financial performance, regulatory compliance, and customer outcomes.
* A collaborative, people-focused leadership style that puts health, safety, and wellbeing first.
