Senior Lectureship : Professional Doctorate Social Work and Social Care
Are you an experienced academic in Social Work or Social Care with a passion for teaching at the doctoral level? We are looking for qualified and dedicated individuals to join our team on the Professional Doctorate in Advanced Practice and Research in Social Work and Social Care (D55), based at the Tavistock.

What We're Looking For:
* Experience in practitioner research within social work or social care
* Expertise in teaching and learning at the doctoral level
* Strong knowledge and skills in social work and social care practice
* Ideally research active or with extensive academic experience
The role will involve facilitating group seminars, mentoring doctoral students, and contributing to the academic growth of candidates across the course. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of future leaders in the field.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will primarily work on our Professional Doctorate Advanced Practice and Research: Social Work and Social Care (D55) which is part of the Integrated Professional Doctorate (IPD) and is validated by the University of Essex. From time to time you may be asked to work flexibly across a number of different courses in the portfolio. The main responsibilities will involve teaching, supervising and supporting Doctoral candidates to produce high quality Practitioner Doctoral research.

Person specification
Essential and desirable
* PhD or professional Doctorate or equivalent
* Substantial experience of teaching students in higher education
* Commitment to and track record in anti-discriminatory, anti-racist practice and teaching
* Knowledge and understanding of psychosocial/systemic approaches to health and social care and organisations
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and ability to convey complex ideas in teaching and learning environments
* Experience of doctoral supervision preferably with one or more completions.
* Track record of writing for publication and engaging in scholarly activity.
* Experience of quality assurance, academic governance and the student experience
* Experience of doctoral examining
* UK recognised qualification in Social Work
