Lead Practitioner - Business and Economics
As a result of the continued expansion in student numbers in the Business & Economics department at both GCSE and A Level, we are seeking to appoint a Lead Practitioner commencing in January or April 2025.
Main purpose
* The primary role of a Lead Practitioner is to model exemplary teaching and lead the improvement of teaching and learning across the school.
* They will lead on the improvement of teaching skills through modelling high-quality teaching, coaching and training other members of staff.
The successful applicant will have high expectations and will be a reflective practitioner, who is always keen to develop and improve their teaching. They will appreciate their role in helping our students to have high aspirations, and they will share our belief that our students deserve an exceptional curriculum and the very best teaching. The ability to teach Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 Business and Key Stage 5 Economics is essential. A willingness to participate in Enterprise Education (in particular Young Enterprise) would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be offered a full programme of support and development in order to continue to progress their career, including line management guidance, supported by the Head of Business & Economics and an Assistant Headteacher.
