What you'll do:
* Lead and manage the HR advisory team, ensuring seamless support across the employee lifecycle, employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
* Drive efficiency in sickness absence processes through regular reviews, audits, and compliance tracking.
* Support complex investigations, disciplinaries, and ill-health capability processes while drafting accurate outcome letters.
* Build strong relationships with local leadership, line managers, and employees to resolve grievances and implement proactive ER solutions.
* Deliver coaching and guidance to managers, enhancing their ability to handle ER cases effectively.
* Champion Diversity and Inclusion initiatives and contribute to employee engagement projects.
* Oversee HR service delivery, ensuring efficiency and high standards across all areas, from case management to reporting and compliance.
* Provide key support for change management projects, including restructures and TUPE processes.
What you bring:
* Line management experience within a HR function desirable.
* Exposure to heavily unionised environments desirable.
* HR generalist experience and good understanding of all aspects of HR management – employee relations, employee engagement and change management processes.
* Strong facilitation and coaching skills.
* Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.
* Self-motivated and self-starter with the ability to prioritise and schedule workload independently.
* Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Competent in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
* Highly organised, detail-orientated and analytical.
* Maintains a professional conduct at all times.
