The role of the General Assistant is to facilitate any and all duties necessary to prepare the venue for opening up, greeting all customers on arrival, issuing them with a towel and locker key, and answering any questions they may have at that point. Also to prepare or sell food, snacks and beverages from a small selection of hot and cold foods throughout the day. To operate the venue's POS till system and accurately charge each customer for everything that needs to be paid for. To keeping the venue clean, tidy and safe throughout the course of their shift, including washing, drying and folding all towels used by customers. To be fully accountable for the cash and card transactions processed through the till, including cashing up and preparing the float for the next member of staff on duty. To fully cleaning the venue at the end of a closing shift ready for the next day. To maintaining full operational and safe working order of the Jacuzzi Spa and to monitoring and maintaining a high level of general heath and safety throughout, while also maintaining and respecting the privacy of not just the company, but of all of its customers aswell. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate a dedication to responsibility, good time-keeping, trust and discretion, while also appearing presentable at all times. 5 full shifts of training are given to all new staff before being allowed to work alone on reception. Also, a number of remote learning courses need to be passed within a short timeframe, one of which covers Premises Licensing in order to age validate customers and serve alcohol. All applicants MUST be able to present a valid and current Passport or Driving License or other similar official Government ID, be able to prove their residential address, and must be legally entitled to work in the UK. A minimum of 6 months of working for our company is required due to the high cost of training new staff. Any additional details will be given at the interview stage.
