Job Description
This newly created role within Neilson Financial Services’ FP&A function offers an exciting opportunity to shape and build financial processes in a rapidly growing, internationally expanding business.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will provide strategic financial insights and support key decision-making processes by collaborating with departments across the organisation.
You will contribute to budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and financial reporting initiatives, directly influencing the growth and success of Neilson Financial Services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Enable the Group’s annual Group budgeting and long-term planning processes by collaborating with various departments to gather input, consolidate data and deliver insightful reports for senior leadership
2. Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support accurate forecasting, scenario analysis and performance monitoring against key business drivers
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership and the Board, including commercial insights and recommendations to inform decision making
4. Manage internal operational dashboards to track financial performance, identify trends, risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights to leadership
5. Continuously improve reporting systems and processes by leveraging automation to deliver best-in-class reporting and minimize dependency on manual processes
6. Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal financial policies by maintaining accurate, timely and transparent reporting processes
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights which support strategic initiatives and evaluate the financial impact of new opportunities
8. Help the business achieve budgeted EBITDA targets by identifying risks, highlighting opportunities and delivering proactive financial support
9. Contribute to building a high-performing FP&A team by fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professional growth
Qualifications
1. Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
2. Proven FP&A experience with a successful track record in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making
3. Strong expertise in financial modelling, forecasting and data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI)
4. Familiarity with financial software systems (e.g., NetSuite)
5. Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders
7. Thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a proactive, solutions-focused approach, demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude, high energy, and the determination, resilience and commitment to overcome challenges and get things done
8. Background in multi-national, multi-currency and high-growth businesses is highly desirable
9. Demonstrated success in improving financial systems, reporting processes and driving operational efficiencies
