A PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) in north Bristol area is currently recruiting for a learning support assistant to join them ASAP. The PRU cater for children and young adults who have been excluded from mainstream education or are in a transition period before finding a place in a specialist setting.

Full-time, Monday - Friday 8.30am to 4pm

Bristol - BS10About the PRU Learning Support Assistant role
Providing learning support KS2 to KS4 students who have trauma, SEN, behavioural disorders as well as other mental health issues.
1:1 assistance for pupils with Special Needs and challenging behaviour
Working alongside fully trained therapists and psychologists as well as other professionals within the education/mental health field.
An excellent opportunity to expand your classroom experience prior to undertaking teacher training and becoming a fully qualified classroom teacher.What we need from you
A graduate (2:2 or above - Psychology and Criminology desirable) or experienced teaching assistant / learning support assistant who is passionate about Special Educational Needs and Behavioural Needs
Enthusiastic and passionate about making a different in the lives of children with special educational needs
